Continental Divide

The snow’s pilin’ up in my mind
While memories of us fall from the sky
The river’s like a rollercoaster
Rollin’ through my sole
And my emotions are like melted snow
So cold, yet so beautiful
Rollin’ down the mountainside away from you

Go east, go west
Which way will our love flow next
These are the questions I ask in my life
Our love’s a raindrop
Fallin towards that mountaintop
Where it splits and then it rolls
Cause I’m 15, I’m 15, I’m 15 feet from the
Continental Divide

Got a blanket and a bottle of wine
Thrown in the pickup truck
I remember when you were mine
And we were so in love
Down by the river bank
We’d throw that blanket down in the sun
Didn’t have a care in the world
And you were my little girl

Well I’m with her
But she’s not her
Cause I’m back there
And she’s not here
Well I’m with her
But she’s not her
Cause I’m back there
And she’s not here
